I, too, had suspicions for PHP v5.3 onwards. However, my config
works (as far as I can tell) with the following :

1. CentOS 5.4 (i386)
2. Horde Webmail Edition v1.2.5
3. Apache (httpd) 2.2.14
4. PHP v5.3.1
5. Dovecot v1.2.9
6. XMail v1.26
