[horde] imp does not provide an authenticate() method

I had same problem few days ago (see mailing archive) with H4.

SOLVED : the quick and only solution I found was to remove all files  
(keeping database of course) and re-install again via Pear.
Well, certainly a brutal way, but at least it works for me.
