<snip>

Month old thread I know, but I have been away LOL.

I'm running Horde 4 on CentOS 5.7 with PHP 5.2.10. Libxml is 2.6 as
the OP here has, and whilst the Horde documentation says "Make sure
you are using a newer (v2.7 or greater) version of libxml. Older
versions of libxml are broken when handling certain charsets" I have
not yet run into issues. YMMV. It will probably fall over on something
now I have said that.

It was an upgrade, or I'd have gone with CentOS 6 - which I will still
do at some point.

I have not any 3rd party repos installed, which makes yum updates nice
and simple. Pear / pecl packages, and a non-yum install of ImageMagick
/ jasper (for Horde / Ansel), are the only things outside of yum. I'd
rather keep it that way for now and keep it simpler to maintain. I'll
put time into a C6 build before trying to get libxml 2.7 on this one.

Simon.
