You need to have good and redundant backend architectures (database,
imap/smtp, ldap/user source.
Performance of custom apps cannot be measured without further knowledge.
I know that the Rdo library (ORM layer) with some patches that went into
horde 5 has been deployed in a custom heavy duty project but I cannot go
into details.
