Which version of cyrus ? If it is 2.4.16 it could be this one:

Does the sent mail show up ? I am in the process of customizing horde5 for our setup and ran across it upon saving drafts. In my case the mail ended up in filesystem but I needed to run reconstruct on that mailbox to make it show up.
