This is client controlled. Some offer the ability to set how far back  
to look for events to include when synching. Others seem to use a hard  
limit. You should check your client's synchronization settings. If an  
event is older than this date, it is not included in the initial sync.  
Due to the way we detect changes currently, updating an older event  
will currently cause it to be seen as more recent by the diff engine.  
This will eventually be addressed, probably in Horde 5.2 (or 6.0) when  
the SOFTDELETE command is finally implemented.
