[horde] Fwd: Mail sent from imp is empty after recent pear upgrade

I've made an attempt so send an email whilte bypassing amavisd-new and
hence all of its possible uses of other software. The message still fails
to be delivered, regardless of amavisd-new.

With amavisd-new enabled, I get the following error in the syslog (an IP
address and some other info obscured a bit):
