[horde] Outlook (+ iPhone) via ActiveSync asks for password

I am not sure, what software is responsible for this error: Windows Mail,
apache/nginx, authpsa (Plesk?), courier or horde?

In /mail.err/:
  courier-authdaemon: authpsa: short mail addresses are not allowed, got
'*admin*'

In /access_ssl_log/:
  "OPTIONS
/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync?User=*admin*&DeviceId=BE2689FFEA580DA3F5F6C1DD0A0D03CE&DeviceType=WindowsMail
HTTP/1.0" *401* 1226 "-" "WindowsMail/17.5.9600.20315" 

But next second the *whole email address* is passed as username and it works
(200).
What is going wrong?
