thank you for this background info and the hint. I had already guessed  
that my device would simply not play along, but since you added code  
to detect such, I'll give it a more thorough test run and report back.  
But don't hold your breath: this feature has no priority for me and I  
currently have a pretty tight schedule, so it'll be rather weeks than  
days until I get a chance to look into this :[
