Cannot reproduce.

Silly question, but are you sure you are synchronizing the calendar  
that the invite is imported to?

  Mike,
    I'm not importing the ICS file into the calendar I am choosing the "Accept" option under "Attending?" (in the stock Samsung email client) or the "Accept" button in Nine.

  The event is showing up in the correct (and only) calendar on the server so I'm think it is going to the correct calendar.

  I'm guessing that the "accept" is adding the event to the server and not to the client but the server is assuming it is already on the client so it never syncs. If I do a complete resync from scratch, it will show up on the phone.
