[i18n] language selection not doing anything

Well, I did greps for various keywords (languages, en_US, etc.) in the docs
directory, and looked at the FAQ, nothing relavant in either place that I
saw.  I looked at the newsgroup listing of the mailing list archives, but
those might have expired if it was a while ago.

So I guess I will keep looking.  It's probably there and I just overlooked
it.  Thanks for your time, and sorry to bug you!
