[i18n] Weird problems with Horde 2.2 + IMP 3.2?

Well, I've some time yesterday to test the "caching" of gettext again:

- the translations were not updated after "make install", even when
browser cache was erased, browser was exited, httpd was stopped and
started and EVEN when the ./locale/sk_SK directory was removed(!).

Any idea where are the translated mesages cached even when corresponding
locale/sk_SK/ directory is removed??

Tried on Horde 2.2.1 (horde 2.2 too) on MDK 9.0...
