  What is the problem here ? I 'm afraid to not anderstand very well.
  The syntax of the command wvHtml is "wvhtml <file .doc in entry> <file
.htm
  in output>" that's OK no ?
  so ..

  If the syntax 2>&1 don't work (with or without it don't work for me!) why
 do
  not let the program wvhtml doing his work ?
  The syntax sould be : $pipe =3D popen("$default->path_to_mswordview
  $word_name $word_name.htm","r");
  (for me the file is generated OK in /tmp)
  I only need next to read the file generated before and put it on
stdouput -
  finished -
  I agree the Solution is not clean clean clean but ...
