I have this problem, sort of. (I admit that I'm trying to
substitute aspell for ispell because aspell makes stronger
suggestions for correct spellings. The aspell directions
insist that you can change the ispell command to aspell and
it will run. This has been true everywhere I've tried it.
For IMP, I changed the default path to ispell to be
/usr/local/bin/aspell, and I grepped through everything
trying to find where/how the actual command was issued but
didn't find it. I hoped setting the default pointer to the
binary was enough, but I wasn't surprised it didn't work.
However, imp doesn't indicate it can't run aspell (or
ispell). It simply always returns No Spelling Errors.
aspell is functional with other Web Mail packages designed
for ispell and from the command line.
aspell .32.1
solaris 2.7
php 4.0.2
horde 1.2.3
imp 2.2.3
