Ok, So for shits and giggles,  grabbed phplib from the phplib site.  
After hacking in all the code in the local.inc and prepend.php3 (I 
DO need the hard link, else phpweblog fails), I STILL can't get the 
session number to increment.

Looking at the PHP dump (I changed to PHP4 for testing) I see 
session auto start is off.  Is that ok?

I assume any session info should be saved within (default) the 
horde db in the active_session table.. right?

I've even grabbed all the latest RH packages, just in case :)
