[imp] login fails (was Re: [imp] undefined function: send())

4.8 is out, ive installed it on FreeBSD from ports - looks to work ok. just
needed a link from old so to new one for php to work properly.

That's just the protocol version - it'll show that no matter what (unless
you
have an _ancient_ c-client).
