new IMP

I see that there are new 2.3 tar-balls of IMP, and I have some doubts.
1) Is 2.3 going to be 2.4 or are this the first releases of 2.3?
2) I found in the IMP directory a 2.3.6 tar ball, but in the horde directory, 
all I found was a 1.3.3. Don't I need a 1.3.6 to use with IMP 2.3.6?
