Mike: You didn't give me a chance to look at test.php3. It was set to 000
(by default???) I set it to 644, it works fine. So does the session test.

Hi Brent, I'm working with Chris. Here are the results of browsing
test.php3. My guess is that the horde RPMs for RH7 installed with overly
strict permissions. Permissions on /var/www/horde-phplib are 622 with root
group and ownership. Please suggest a better set and owner if you agree.
Chris was not too fond of my last chmod -R 777 ; )
Thanks for your help,
MC

RPM made all of its changes without a hitch, in that it replaced httpd.conf
(leaving a copy of the old one around), added the horde and imp.conf files,
etc.
We're running the -6 PHP packages from Nalin.
As for setting everything 777, it was merely a chmod -R 777 * from
/var/www/html/horde. After setup, the site is utterly inaccessible. The
web server simply does not respond.
Apache is version 1.3.12. I suppose an upgrade wouldn't kill us... Since
we're using horde-shm, there aren't any database concerns, though.
Thanks,
CK
