Yeah - Perdition rocks :-)

I first used it to migrate seamlessly from
Cyrus to a huge qmail-ldap toaster...

Usage with IMP is straight forward.

One IMAP server for all users, with Perdition
farming out connections to the correct IMAP
server based on a 'mailhost' attribute stored
in the LDAP object for each user.

It allows us to move mailboxes around without
worrying about server names etc...

As far as multiplexors go, you probably don't
need much more.
