[imp] Strange mail sending problem (it's not) (fwd)

Yet more information. Case "SEND_MESSAGE" in compose.php3 is not being hit
when I hit the "Send Message" button. 

Any ideas? I'm not running redhat, btw, rather FreeBSD.
