Yes, that's a good process for resetting your hordemgr MySQL password.

Just note, Jerry, that the user ("hordemgr") and password have to be kept
in sync. in three places:  MySQL itself, imp/config/defaults.php3, and
horde/phplib/local.inc (assuming you're using MySQL for session storage).
The horde/scripts/database/dbpasswd.sh script makes a handy way to change
all three at once.

Also note that you'll have to change the password to something besides
"hordemgr"; there's a security check that will block this case.
