[imp] Still can't login

Please, describe your problem, we are not able to solve all problems with 
logging in!

First, what IMAP server do you use?
Do you use inetd or tcpserver to listen 143 port?
If imp and IMAP server are installed on the same computer, have you opened
IMAP access to localhost (127.0.0.1)?

THEN:
Did you tried to login using telnet program?!.
THIS STEP IS IMPORTANT! :)

You can also check your IMAP server with any mail agent, for ex. Outlook,
Netscape Messenger or any other.
