IMP, Courier and renaming

Hi,
I'm using cvs horde and imp with courier 1.3.7.
I'm a bit concerned about the behaviour of 'rename folders'.
The configuration for 'namespace' don't seem to do what they say in the
servers.php file, or match the advice given on the list.
Setting namespace to 'INBOX.' as recommended, adds 'INBOX.' in all
the dialop boxes and renaming a mailbox, say INBOX.1.1, to INBOX.1.2
would actually creates INBOX.INBOX.INBOX.1.2 instead. Which is odd.
When namespace is set to '' and folders is set to 'INBOX.' things seem
to work as expected - no INBOX in dialog boxes, no INBOX.INBOX.etcetc.
Any explanations?
The only thing which doesn't seem to work is the renaming of mailboxes
with inferiors. Renaming INBOX.1 (where INBOX.1.1 also exists) to
INBOX.2 creates INBOX.2 and leaves INBOX.1.1 as it is. I understand
that INBOX.1 can be a mailbox as well as a folder but I expected that
renaming INBOX.1 would also rename INBOX.1.1 to INBOX.2.1. Especially
since once INBOX.1 becomes INBOX.2 its not possible to rename INBOX.1.1
to INBOX.2.1, even though IMP says 'successfully renamed'.
Is this an IMP problem, a Courier problem or an ambiguity in
the RFC?
Thanks.
Mike
