How to add enviromental variable when sending from IMP

I need to pass QMAILQUEUE to qmail when sending email from within IMP to get
the scan4virus to do it's work.
I looked through compose.php3 but couldn't see a good place for it, nor do I
really know how to properly set a variable to be passed to a program from
php.

Variable needed: QMAILQUEUE="/var/qmail/bin/qmail-scanner-queue.pl"
Imp 2.2.4 (ldap from 2.2.5 -cvs)
