[imp] IMP 2.2.x and 2.3.x on the same machine / Apache server.

Hello all-

I am interested in exploring the CVS branch, and would like to know if
anyone is running their test branch on the same machine as their production
branch.

Currently I am using:
IMP 2.2.4 / Horde 1.2.4
Apache 1.3.14
PHP4.0.4pl1
MySQL Ver 9.38 Distrib 3.22.32

If so, are you using a virtual server in Apache to keep the two seperate?
How are you handling the database seperation?

Any known or theoretical caveats are interesting to me, as well as pros and
cons of using the production machine to test / develop the new branch.  The
reason I am considering it is that I don't have a spare solaris machine to
do any testing on.
