[imp] Incorrect handling of '.' character in IMP 2.3

could it be cause i use new sendmail?
I guess Chuck will know what's wrong, since he's the author of PEARs

I'm getting the same result.  The single '.' and anything below doesn't get
sent.  Using php-4.0.5-cvs (old), imp-2.3.7-cvs (old), and I'm sending mail
through SMTP, not sendmail.
