Does latest cvs checkout of horde/imp work with php3?

 Hi!
 I have php3 and can't install PHP4 on a HPUX 11 machine
 running StrongHold SecureServer 3 ... StrongHold is prepared
 for php3 (not php4), but I would like to use the latest
 imp/horde versions with php3...

 Is this possible (running imp 2.3.x) or I must stay with
 2.2 stable versions?

 PS: If someone could help on my previous post (Ldap problem)
     I wouldn't need 2.3.x, as my problems with LDAP are
     related to 2.2.x version.
