IMP 2.2.5

Comments regarding my findings while customizing IMP 2.2.5,
mostly in regards to language stuff but also some regarding
CSS.

CSS

It would be nice to have "all" of IMP CSS-enabled. Even if
the CLASS tags refer to empty definitions in IMP.CSS, it'd
be a much more transparent and portable way of modifying the
look and feel of IMP. I know it is a lot of work to add these
tags to every single <TABLE>, <INPUT>, <TD>, <TR>, etc. but
I think it would be worth it. I also think great care should
be taken to split-up tags used in different contexts. E.g.
the <A HREF> in the left-hand menu and <A HREF> while viewing
the message, writing a message, viewing the mailbox overview,
etc.

Language corrections (Swedish)

locale/se/newuser.lang
  $lang->intro_return = 'Tillbaka till inloggningen';
locale/se/compose.lang
  $lang->quoting_string = 'Citerat från';

The various ALT=".." tags in ./config/mailbox.php3 are fixed
to english-language texts, they should probably be read from
the locale specific data.

It sounds like you might want to take a look at 2.3. Everything you mention in
this email is taken care of there (though we could use a swedish translation
<g>). And we're making an effort not to spend time on 2.2 anymore, in order to
focus on getting 2.3 into releasable state.

You're on 2.3, right? Keep the pref locked, but set it manually for yourself in
the database (or whatever your prefs source is).

Interesting - I don't know if I've seen an installation of php4 with sessions
not working. What does phpinfo() say about session support?

No, the basic session driver is just fine.
