Session timeout

I have a web mail server with the following configuration
linux Red Hat 6.2
Apache server 1.3.12
Horde V 1.2.0
IMP 2.2.0

All it's working fine but some users are driving me crazy because when they are in the inbox
and click on the message, they logout and jump to login window!. The problem happens only with
win9x Internet Explorer 4.0, IE 5.0 and IE 5.5. If the problem is the var $lifetime which the
correct value?
