Double login

I'm fairly new to IMP 2.3 and i've seen a lot of changes in it since 2.2 
version.
I don't understand why i need double login (to horde/turba and to imp) to make 
webmail and addresbook works properly.
I've put all the references to session tracking and preferences in both horde 
and imp.
Is this a 'feature' or i'm doing something wrong ?
