Compile MySQL from scratch. Or download the SRPM and rebuild it (that may be
easier for you). MySQL doesnt require a newer version of glibc, thatm
specific RPM was just compiled to use it. Theres certainly no reason for you
to upgrade your whole OS just to install one package.
