The IMAP server is probably using PAM (RedHat 7.1) and the webmail server
is using Slackware 8.0 with no PAM.

I get the OK message from my IMAP server, thus it's delayed a lot.
I can also authenticate successfully.
My server (running IMP) is on subnet 242, while other computers I can
access are on subnet 241 (the same as the IMAP server). On subnet 241 the
IMAP reply is very fast (less than 1 second) while on subnet 242 the
reply is very slow (more than 30s). Can this interfere with IMP?
I remember you that IMP both writes Login:FAILED to syslog and locks
PHPLIB sessions...
Thank you anyway.
