DNS error when trying to get mail using IMP *please help*

my bad ... no DNS set I guess ... thus, no DNS error when typing in the
IP directly, but I get the exact same fu**ing problem than before ... It
hangs when it tries to get the mail via 'mailbox.php' ... \

Would it be possible that the problem lies on the POP3 mail server side ?

Can someone please help me, this is the 3rd time I send a msg concerning
this specific issue.
