attachments not recognized

Hi,

recently I've seen two cases of messages with attachments that don't
show in IMP.

- First one was produced with PINE. The message is in MIME format and
seems OK.
The paperclip appears in front of the message but there is no attachement
button when
viewing the message. The attachment doesn't appear in the displayed
text. Same thing
occurs when I resend the message from Eudora (Eudora sees the
attachment). Only
explanation would be the type of the file wich is a "compress" (.Z) UNIX file.

- Second one is not mime-encoded. It is uuencoded (with the begin/end
bondary).
Attachment is not recognized (no paperclip) and show in the displayed
text. I saw another message in the list recently about this. So the
explanation here would be this
type of attachment is not supported by IMP.

Could someone shed some light on how attachment are recognized? I
understand the
second case is because it is not MIME. Is this true? But otherwise, why
would an
attachment not being seen? Do the type of attachment has to be known by
IMP? I tought the "save as" would be a catch-all.

We are using Horde/IMP 1.2.6/2.2.6 but I have test the first message with
all version we
have (from 2.2.2 to 2.3.x-cvs) and it is the same thing.

Thanks.

Note: i'll send the first message if needed.
