I chose Seth's patch because it fitted better into the current framework.

But we can think about if we should use the timezone descriptions Michael sent 
with his patch. Perhaps it would make it easier for the users to choose the 
right timezone. I didn't take it into the initial commit because I don't like 
the "long" select fields it would produce.

I didn't set a default timezone, because I think that the local timezone set on 
the mail servers the people are using will mostly match the timezone of the 
users clients.

Hm, that makes me think about adding a "No timezone" or "Local timezone" entry 
to "reset" the timezone pref.
