New Web-mail discussion list

As an extension of my attempt to list all open-source Web-mail systems:

  http://www.firstpr.com.au/web-mail/

I have established a mailing list at Yahoo Groups for discussing such
systems and related issues of running mail systems for (typically) large
groups of technically unsophisticated users.

  http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Web-Mail

The archives are public and Google will index them in time.


I do not intend this new list to detract from program-specific
discussion on the lists for each Web-mail program.  However, I hope that
this new list will be a better place for people asking advice on which 
Web-mail, MTA, and filtering programs to use.

It will be a list for comparing notes, asking advice and discussing
matters relevant to this field.  

I am not an expert in this field, but I think email and especially Web
access to email has tremendous social benefits, so I am happy to
facilitate discussion and maintain my list of open-source Web-mail
programs.  There are lots of newly emerging Web-mail programs - I have
added links to quite a few in recent weeks.
