Chuck, Jan and others:

I just wanted to shout out a big THANKS for all the hard work and
effort that has been put into horde, IMP and the other tools. My
first attempt at installing was roughly 6 weeks ago, and I saw a
glimmer of promise in the older version (IMP 2.2) that I had
downloaded. But it wasn't really what I needed.

So I took a leap of faith and learned how to use CVS, upgraded my
PHP, made sure I was running a new enough PEAR and secure IMAP server
and downloaded the latest CVS horde and imp (along with nag and
kronolith for kicks).

Needless to say, practically nothing worked the first time. Or the
second. Or even the twenty-fourth. But here we are about 4 weeks
later, and I've been diligently reading the archives and the messages
in this mailing list. I made tweaks here and there when I thought
they applied to my configuration. I updated my CVS copy on a daily
basis.

And Viola! I fired up horde/IMP and its working perfectly.
Authenticating users (the tricky part was changing the setting from
imap/ssl to imap/ssl/novalidate-certs -- I still don't know WHY that
made a difference), sending and receiving messages, WITH
ATTACHMENTS!, using the turba address book, using the nag task list,
saving preferences per-user including identies. All working.

Wheeee!

I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself. Thanks again!
