How to translate help.xml

Hi,

I need to author a German translation for the IMP help.xlm file. I was able
to copy the english version into /horde/imp/locale/de and I saw it appear.
However, when I did the translation to German, nothing came up.

Two significant differences between the files are:

--  <?xml version="1.0" >
++ <?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1" ?>

and

The inclusion of CDATA tags to escape the German language characters

    <para>
    <![CDATA[
Durch Klicken auf "Nachricht senden" wird die E-Mail-Nachricht an den bzw.
die gew
<FC>nschten Empf<E4>nger gesendet. Bevor Sie hierauf klicken, sollten Sie
sicher se
in, dass Sie die Nachricht wirklich senden m<F6>chten, da sie sich nach dem
Absende
n nicht mehr zur<FC>ckrufen l<E4>sst.
    ]]> </para>

What am I missing? I was able to surf each xml file without errors. Is
there a foreign language help.xml example I can use as a template? What XML
parser does Horde use, and why would this not work?

TIA

I've committed the width changes (also to the signature box in options). I
didn't do the alignment change; that's simply a waste of screen real estate.

Also, for future reference: in the templates, <?= $var ?> is much preferred to
<?php echo $var ?>.

Try latest cvs... I may have screwed some stuff up a bit ago. I think it's
fixed.

Well, those are the problems with the string and exactly how I asked you to

I wouldn't want to rely on that class; there are all kinds of things that it
could incorrectly allow or deny. And no email client that I know of attempts to
do this task.

Oh, please do! It simply looks so terribly ugly if the box doesn't
start on the same "column" as the other boxes. And actually it's no
waste, as the boxes above (with the To:, CC: ....) and below with the
buttons (Senden....) are wider anyhow.

Well, you know, I've got the habbit to think while I write. This
sometimes causes mails which, at the end, already answer itself. You
know, when I write it down, the problem becomes clearer to me. The
result (in this case) was that I send you a fixed function :)

Did you apply the rewritten function?
