[imp] How to translate help.xml

Mike Coughlan mcoughlan@gothambroadband.com
Tue, 9 Oct 2001 13:52:39 -0400

I redid the process of swapping German text for English, and now it works.
There must have been a simple type-o. We did not need the CDATA or <?xml
version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1" ?> tags after all.

Thanks

I'm still not convinced. The font in the textarea comes into it; Mozilla's is
rather small. IE6's isn't; for me, an 80 column textarea fits perfectly when it
goes all the way to the left, and even 72 still looks better going all the way
over (as it's wider than the inputs). For me, the compose window would have to
be about 50 pixels wider - not insignificant - for things to fit if the
textarea started a column over. We could align it right, instead, so that if
it's small it'll line up on the right-hand side...

If you feel strongly, go ahead and commit it, Jon.

Pretty much. The Lang stuff is loaded pretty early on, possibly before the
Prefs system, so you might have something to contend with there...

Another note: we should probably just nuke the cookie altogether. If people
don't set a preference, they don't get a persistant setting.

I have a couple of identities set up with a different signature block. I can
switch back and forth between them at any time, and the signature block
changes, as appropriate. Once I click "Expand Names," however, this quits
working.

I get a segmentation fault when I attempt to view an attachment.

I am running:

I suspect PHP. What is the current recommended version of PHP for Horde?

Thanks in advance.
