Subject: need help w/expand names settings in imp/config/prefs.php

I've got a turba source called "umod", and it has a field called "uniqname"
(which corresponds to the "uid" LDAP field).

I've tried adding this to imp/config/prefs.php:

// addressbook(s) to use when expanding addresses
$_prefs['search_sources'] = array(
    'value' => 'umod',
    'locked' => false,
    'shared' => false,
    'type' => 'implicit'
);

// field(s) to use when expanding addresses
$_prefs['search_fields'] = array(
    'value' => 'uniqname',
    'locked' => false,
    'shared' => false,
    'type' => 'implicit'
);

...which it doesn't seem to pay attention to when doing searches. From what I
can tell, expansion uses the "name" field from the turba sources definition for
"umod". ("name" being the first field it knows about). If I go in to options
-> preferences and set this by hand, it works fine, but I'd like to have this
as a system default.

It would also be cool if you could set the order of precidence for the fields
used for name expansion, like you can set the precidence of the servers used
for name lookups.

thanks!
Liam

I can see that. It has perhaps something to do with the recent changes in
Folder.php.

But I probably won't have the time to look at it until I'm back from the
PHP conference next week.

It did already but has been broken somehow. I'll take a look at it.

This preference is stored as a string not an array. Take a look at the
value that is stored when you create a personal preference and copy it to
the 'value' entry.

Good idea. I'm going to do this as soon as I have the time.
