the problem remained even without the popup compose window. i believe it has
something to do with the recent identity fixes submitted over the past 24
hours, since IMP was working fine yesterday (but had the previously submitted
bug about the sent mail folder) - i just backed out of the updates today and
it's functional again.
if i can reproduce the error i'll submit the report to php, i'm just trying to
collect all the functions that changed between today and yestday that are
when 'compose.php' is called.
