Great!  Thanks for leading me to the water.  I'll drink.  :-)  Chuck made 
this change in 2.2.6 because wrap_message() can take so long in some cases 
that the browser times out.

I'm inclined to put it back, but people will have to realize that it will
fix the wrap problem for some, and cause the timeout problem for others.  
Sites will have to decide which is worse for them.

Attached is a patch you can apply to 2.2.7 to put wrap_message() back.
