[imp] Can't get the ?language variable in IMP RC4.

Hm, for me it seems like the only the language set it prefs.php or the
users' settings work.
The language selected on the login screen is only used on that page.
The browser's language settings aren't obeyed.
True or have I misconfigured something? If yes, wouldn't it be reasonable
to use the language selected from the login screen unless the user has
set a preferred language?
