Ah, okay. I think I misunderstood your original message a bit
(and I very seldom compose messages in a separate window, so I
didn't quite draw the connection).

I'm not sure it would be considereda bug, but I agree with you
that the behavior could (and probably should) be improved to
allow simultaneous operations.
I don't personally have the time to work on that, though.
Ideally, you'll be able to investigate the situation further and
hopefully submit a patch that improves the behavior.

:-) That's funny... 'Cos that's exactly what I was thinking... :-) Oh,
well, my vacation is over by Monday and I would be returning to the zoo they
called work... Don't think I am going to have much time to look at this
either... Oh well, let me see what I could figure out this weekend... :-)

Subject: Incorrect number of new emails
Hello,
I'm currently running IMP3.0 + HORDE2.0 under Apache-1.3.22 + PHP4.1.1 on a
RedHat Linux 7.2 machine. The IMAP server software is courier-imap-1.4.0 .
Everything appears to be working fine except that an incorrect number of new
emails is reported when I have a lot of emails in my INBOX.
When I login to IMP, it tells me that I have 12 new emails when the INBOX
listing shows around 57 new emails (still *highlighted* in light purple).
IMP2.2.7 however, tells me the correct number of 57 new emails.
When I use PINE to check my mailbox, all the "new" emails still have the "new"
flag set beside them.
Does anyone know what is causing the problem and how to solve it?
Many thanks in advance for any advice!
