IMP 3.0: Problem with languages

Has anyone else has any problems of using IMP with different languages?
When I try to select different language eg. at the login screen then texts
are not changed to that selected language. After login all text seems
to be in english no matter what language user may have chosen or has
saved to preferences.

I've already tried to recompile .po files, but the problem remains.

System is Solaris 8
Php: php 4.1.1 (tested also with 4.1.0).
IMP: 3.0 release version
