Opened mail still shows new tag

Hi,

My IMP server specification is:

CVS version horde and imp from last november '01 cvs repository
UW IMAP
Redhat Linux 6.2


What happens is when I open any new mail it opens just fine, but when I go back 
to the INBOX, I see that the mail I opened is still showing as new and blue. 
What can be wrong? Anyone has any clue?
