Horde2.0/IMP3.0 with POP3 auth failing

Hi

Me too have some problems with the auth.
I'm running:

qmail-1.03 with dns and queue patch
vpopmail-5.0.1
horde 2.0
imp 3.0
mysql 3.23.47
autorespond-2.0.2
ezmlm-0.53
ucspi-tcp-0.88
(qmailadmin and sqwebamil)
php-4.1.1

all this on Slackware 8.0.0
I've noticed that I have to use user@dom.ain as user or it will say Login
failed for some reason.

But nothing happens when I try to login... (returns to login screen)
Everything in /var/adm/maillog seems ok.. 

PHP session counter on /horde/test.php does work.

in /tmp/ there comes 3 sess_xxxfiles for every login atempt

My questions.

What am I doing wrong? 

Is it possible to have IMP send user@dom.ain to vpopmail when he/she only
writes user and choose server from combo?

horde database. Will it ever be used? Mine is still empty.
