[imp] horde2.0/IMP 3.0 with pop3 auth failing

That's the most frustrating part! I don't get any log of an error. I get an error in the horde log in /tmp/horde.log

Feb 12 10:56:28 HORDE [error] [imp] FAILED LOGIN 198.95.226.224 (forwarded for [10.41.17.129]) to mail
.mightygnu.org:110[pop3] as blakeg [on line 332 of "/var/www/html/horde/imp/lib/IMP.php"]

but that's all. Maillog shows nothing at all. I can check my mail via pop normally, and it works fine, and puts a note in maillog also. But it's like horde (or imp) isn't able to talk to my pop3 server.

This is redhat 7.2, running postfix and vm-pop3d. I'm running apache 1.3.20 and PHP Version 4.0.6, with a manually upgraded PEAR.
