Spell check corrupting To: line

[John McCoy, Jr.]

I am getting "\\" added to email addresses in the To: line when you
check spelling.

Before: "John McCoy, Jr" jmccoy@mills.edu

Click on Spell Check then click cancel and:
\\\"John McCoy, Jr\\\" jmccoy@mills.edu

Do it again and I get:
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"John McCoy, Jr\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" jmccoy@mills.edu
