mail folders an umlauts

Hello,

I found that folders with german umlauts don't work for me (not that _I_ am
using this ...). IMP does encode these characters, but this doesn't really
seem to be modified UTF7 ... IMP can encode an decode it, but it doesn't work
with any other mail reader.

I found a PHP bug that seems to cause this:

As described there, I replaced imap_utf7* with mb_convert_encoding
(and rewrote the if statement in Folders.php that checks if the name of the
box is ok. decoded_mailbox gets the name of the folder decoded with
mb_convert_encoding, but the if statement still uses imap_utf7_decode because
mb_convert_encoding would return a value even with "wrong" characters).

Can anyone reproduce this problem?

php-4.1.1 and php-4.1.2

what is the best way to do this ? it's now the default 
http://someserver.server.com/horde/imp

btw is the imp-3 faq online?
